Hyde Park British Summer Time

Last weekend the band were added to the line up at Hyde Park's British Summer Time events family day. British Summer Time was just over a week of music and entertainment on various stages across part of Hyde Park. The Family Day was a real mix for all ages, from Peppa Pig, Collabro, and of course Chasing Midnight.

The band had been added to the Playstation Music stage, who were there to promote their new music feature. This stage was tucked away inside, with the capacity of 150 and a first-come-first-served wristband system, all you had do was try out a game. So after my attempt on a game, we got our wristbands and sat outside to queue, and spent the next hour and a half telling anyone who came near "See Chasing Midnight!"

In typical British Summer Time fashion, it rained most of the time we were waiting, so it was good to get inside when they let us in, and we dashed straight to the barrier. and it really was like a mini gig venue, with lights and smoke on stage, and everything sounded good in there.

The band did a brilliant set that day, performing all their recent favourites like Bad Romance, Unwritten, and Hold Back The River. (When I remember the actual setlist, i'll edit this post)

After they went off to have a wonder and enjoy the event themselves for a bit before coming back to meet a few of us. So we got to spend some time with them which always makes the trips to see them even more worthwhile and gives us a chance to tell them how good their set was.
