Roaring Boston

14th May Chasing Midnight performed at the first ever Roaring Boston, a night of music and dance held at The Boston Rooms at the George IV pub in London. We were lucky enough to see the band perform twice that night. By chance we overheard a bit of sound check before we went in and overheard the new cover. It was garunteed to be a good show. The venue had a relaxed atmosphere, with a bar and tables to sit at, everyone was quite chilled out and there to enjoy the evening.

The band started with the cover we'd previously overheard, Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. The second song was a surprise for us, an original we hadn't heard before. Only The Best is a new song and that night was the first time they'd played it live, and we definitely loved it. The last song of their first set was their brilliant cover of Suspicious Minds. It was a good thing they would be back on again later, we hadn't heard enough of these guys yet.

The second set, the band are back on! They came back on with a personally favourite cover of ours, Hold Back The River. Then they sang a new cover, Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten, JJ had mentioned before that this was a favourite cover of his so we were excited to get to hear it. Next they sang another new cover, Uncle Kracker's Follow Me, and it was so good, definitely one to be played again at more shows. Their final song of the night was the bands own Stuck In Love.

It was a really good evening overall, seeing the band perform again and getting to chat with them in between, it's always good to see them and we feel lucky to be able to support them.
